(the reason i say that they’re genderfluid/genderless was they always gave me a maybe when i asked them about their gender.) i asked them some more questions that i knew the answer to to make sure that they were legit- and so that the flame would stand still. then i double-checked what they told me about who they were and they reassured me on those facts. i talked to them some more and before i put the candle out, i asked again, “so you’re a norse god with no particular gender and you have a connection to the color blue, right?” and i got a yes that almost looked annoyed, as if they were telling me to just believe them and stop asking. by the way, i wasn’t standing close enough for my breathing to affect the candle, and there wasn’t an open window or a fan. so basically, i might have talked to a deity through a candle. if that’s not possible, though, please let me know, because i don’t want to assume anything and potentially anger someone. thanks for the answers! When a candle flame whips without wind or airflow in the room it is usually a sign that it is working for whatever purpose you are burning it for.
